About
My name is James Mundell. I'm 19. I built Sisyphus alone, in Durban.
I came across the myth almost by accident. A man condemned by the gods to push a boulder up a hill for eternity, only to watch it roll back down every time. Most people hear a punishment. Then I read Camus, who looked at the same man and landed somewhere stranger: one must imagine Sisyphus happy. Not broken by the work. Filled by it. The push was the point.
That idea wouldn't leave me alone.
So I made something out of it. Sisyphus isn't a wellness brand, or a routine you're meant to feel guilty about skipping. It's for the man already in motion. The one who holds everything he touches to a standard, and was tired of products that didn't meet it.
The debut is a Light Daily Moisturiser. Formulated and manufactured in South Africa. The first batch is one hundred units.
I made every decision behind it. The name, the formula, the price, the words you're reading now.
The push is not my punishment.
It's my answer.
